Especially for you then, tips for planning, relaxing and cleaning up.
As a family caregiver, it is easy to get caught up in daily caregiving tasks. This can turn your own agenda, home and structure into chaos. We would like to give you some tips to help you find your overview:
Your home:
A tidy house gives a tidy head. Don't remember where to start?
- Make a priority list of tasks that you yourself have not yet gotten around to.
- Schedule a deferred task in your calendar each day.
- Put your phone on silent and schedule a ten-minute clean-up session (with music).
- At the end of the day, make a clean-up tour of your living room. That way you'll start tomorrow with a clean slate.
Cook ahead!
Organized meal planning can take a huge burden off your shoulders.
- Make a list of simple recipes for which you often already have the ingredients. In addition, choose meals that you can easily freeze for busy days.
- Plan your shopping and meals daily in your calendar.
No time for relaxation?
Then now is the time to schedule them. Consciously block out time in your calendar for walking, reading, writing, sports or creativity. Do what works for you! Treat this time as an appointment that cannot be rescheduled, because self-care is essential to maintaining your energy and resilience.
Regaining structure can be a process of trial and error. Could you use some help? We'd love to think with you.
