Last week, 680 Oosterhout informal caregivers received a VVV gift certificate worth 50 euros. This appreciation was presented on behalf of the municipality of Oosterhout. Surplus supports informal caregivers and ensured that each request was handled properly.
The municipality of Oosterhout is very happy to help and care for family members, friends or neighbors. Alderman Clèmens Piena: “Oosterhout cannot do without informal caregivers. They form the basis of our care. Thanks to them, care recipients can continue to live at home longer, in their familiar surroundings. The municipality greatly appreciates the work of informal caregivers. That is why the volunteer care appreciation is organized. The appreciation also consists of all kinds of activities that are offered.”

Caregivers who care for a family member, friend or neighbor from Oosterhout can register with Surplus. This can be done online through the website www.mantelzorgoosterhout.nl Surplus offers various forms of informal care support. Besides coaching, information and advice, caregivers can participate in various workshops, courses and other activities. There are also volunteer buddies who can provide support.
