There is no general compensation for family caregivers. However, there are a number of other options:
- Does the person you care for have a Personal budget? Enter into a care agreement together.
- Do you belong to the same household? See if your healthcare costs can deduct on taxes.
- In addition, check your health insurance for reimbursements, such as substitute care to take a breather or the support of informal care broker who can take over arranging tasks.
- Do you care for a care-intensive child living at home? Ask additional child allowance to.
Is there any appreciation from the Municipality of Oosterhout?
Municipalities annually appreciate efforts of family caregivers. In Oosterhout municipality, caregivers could apply for a gift certificate until December 31 last year. This year another appreciation will be organized in the fall. You will need to apply for this again in due course via this website.
Are there any options through my employer?
