In Activity Center the Slotjes there is a cozy meeting place where people with memory problems and their loved ones can find each other for an enjoyable day. Every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 10 am to 12 pm there is an open walk-in, where everyone is welcome; whether you are dealing with memory problems yourself, or have a partner with dementia and would like to share your story.
Activities and conviviality
Regular musical activities are scheduled in cooperation with H19. Singing together with the Refreintjes choir coming soon, or just enjoying being together. There are activities such as a game, a walk, cooking or billiards. There is also room for a pleasant chat or good conversation. You don't have to do anything, everything is allowed.
Volunteers and visitors central
The meeting place is supervised by a club of enthusiastic volunteers. They ensure that everyone feels welcome and that there is always something to do. But just as important: initiatives from visitors are also welcome. It is not about what someone is no longer able to do, but about having a pleasant morning together. There is no charge for participation, only the cost of a cup of coffee or tea.
Whether you come for the activities, for a listening ear, or just for a cup of coffee and a chat - the meeting place in the Slotjes is open to everyone. The center brings together various activities related to memory problems. Think of the monthly Alzheimercafe every last Monday evening of the month, five times a year the Dementia and Now course for family caregivers, weekly cognitive fitness, parkinson's gym and more.
