Autumn has begun and at Mantelzorg Oosterhout we are not sitting still! September was all about inspiration, cooperation and preparation for great activities in October. We like to share what has happened and what is planned.
🎒 Inspiration case at Inspiration Day Surplus
At Surplus' Inspiration Day, our colleagues were present with the inspiration suitcase informal care, VR glasses and a shower wall full of stories from young informal caregivers. We entered into conversation with care and aid workers about how we can better support family caregivers. The reactions were positive and the conversations valuable - together we are building care and assistance friendly.
🧠 Learning together about dementia
In cooperation with Zorgboerderij Levensvreugde, we organized an informative evening for their volunteers on the theme ‘Dealing with Dementia. Fine how committed volunteers are to people with dementia.
🥽 VR Dementia Goggles in Dementia and Now course
Starting in October, we will begin using the VR dementia glasses in our Dementia and Now course. These glasses offer a unique experience: participants can experience for themselves what it is like to live with dementia. A powerful way to gain greater understanding and insight.
💝 Apply for informal care appreciation from Oct. 1
From October 1, informal caregivers in Oosterhout can again apply for the informal care appreciation via our website. A token of appreciation for their indispensable efforts. Keep an eye on the site for the application form and conditions.
In appreciation of our volunteers (buddies, informal care coaches and office tigers), we went out together last Wednesday. We look back on a pleasant high tea and visit to gardens De Verwondering. Did you know that the PR and administration of the informal care appreciation is done by volunteers from Surplus?

The Oosterhoutse Mantelzorgdag is coming up! On our website, caregivers can sign up for various activities. Think of an Easy flow yoga workshop, AI Bingo or Vitality Quiz. A day to catch their breath and meet each other.
