The program of this quarter's Alzheimercafe is known! Every last evening of the month this themed evening is organized about (coping with) dementia. A warm place where you can ask questions to local professionals and to share experiences with other visitors.
On Monday, Jan. 29, a dementia case manager will talk about the phase prior to diagnosis. We call this the ‘not-fluffy phase. What do you do with signs that look like dementia? Is there this condition or is something else at play?
A specialist in geriatrics joins us on Monday, Feb. 26, to provide information on how to make the diagnosis.
On Monday, March 25, a psychologist explains more about dealing with changes in behavior.
Will you be there? Drop in for free at Activity Center De Slotjes starting at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will start around 19:30. Afterwards there is opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences with other visitors and professionals involved.
